Note | A recently found Hungarion marriage record confirms our earlier belief that our Rosalia is, as listed by the Hungarian Catholic Church records as, Rosalia Soho, born to Mihály Soha and Rozália Hornyák, baptized September 13, 1843 in Bársonyos, Veszprém, Hungary. Earlier church records are in Latin and list her husband as Emericus Németh, a tailor, with children, Joseph, born November 10, baptized November 11, 1864 and Rosalia, born September 21, baptized September 22, 1867, all living in Bársonyos. Records then change to Hungarian, and list Rosalia’s husband as Imre Németh, a weaver, with three more children at the same address and with the same Godparents as the Latin records. Various American records list either Imre or Emericus as her husband and Michael as her father. |
