Originator of names for busses when he introduced the palatial “Pullman of the Highways”, known throughout this section as the “Jean Marie”, Frank J. Kroboth is a pioneer motor bus man in this section of the state. For a number of years Mr. Kroboth has been operating the bus line which extends up the Chenango valley to Greene. Now he operates through to Norwich on a regular schedule and has bus connections from that point to Utica and Syracuse. Out of Binghamton connections may be had with other lines operating to Cortland, to Owego, to Susquehanna Depot, Windsor and to score s of other points. Thus the public is now enabled to travel either by bus or train to points within a hundred mile radius. Bus schedules are arranged at different hours than the train service is given, permitting the traveler greater latitude in making connections, attending to business or visiting with friends en route to destinations. Frank J. Kroboth is president of the local bus owners' association and was largely instrumental in establishing the central bus station on Warren Street. From this point all the bus lines leaving the city radiate and a comfortable waiting and checking room is provided for the patrons. Mr. Kroboth is also vice president of the state association. He Is very active in the snow removal program in this county and in the state as well, and personally has done much to keep the highways open over which his bus lines operate, giving service practically without loss of a few hours or even a day over a period of years.

The Italian blown glassware in
amethyst, green, organge and blue
at the Lily J. Kroboth Shop are
as dainty as a soap-bubble fantasy.
Here, too, are Mexican vases which
are a bit heavier than. the Italian
and are also blown. They make a
decorative and useful gift. Something
very new in cocktail tray's
that are used at buffet suppers
these days are shaped like a real
artists's pallette with even a place
for the thumb. Instead of paints
on the pallette, there is an ash
receiver, room for a sandwich and
accessories and also two little
knobs that brace the cocktail glass
when it is not in use.
