Henry A, Hompe was a passenger eastward on an Auburn Central train yesterday morning. He went to Troy. On the same train went Harrv Huntsman and Miss Agnes Hompe. The two last named went ostensibly to officiate. as bridesmaid and best man at the wedding of the first named. When Mr. Hompe stood up to take the vow by which he became the husband of Miss Isabel Downing, also of Auburn, Mr. Huntsman and Miss Hompe proclaimed their intention of becoming husband and wife and were duly united. In this juncture, the duties of groomsman and bridesmaid for the double wedding fell upon two other Auburnians who were present, to wit, Alex W. Hompe and Miss Lillian Downing.

Rev. George Fairlee, a graduated student of Auburn Theological Seminary, performed the marriage ceremony and at its conclusion the two united couples left for New York. They will return to Auburn on Tuesday next, to receive the congratulations of many friends.

The wedding in Troy was at Mr. Fairlee's residence.
